Hi Antonello Students!  If you are like me, you really miss our school library right now!  I miss you all!  Let's try to spend some time reading every day!  Staying at home will help me get my goal of a million words and it can help you too! Remember, Mr. Russo would like you to spend 10 minutes times your grade level each day reading.  (Example: 3rd grade, 30 minutes)  Much love (and reading) --Mr Leggett

What counts as reading?
  • Reading on your own
  • Being read to by an adult or sibling (including being read to online)
  • Listening to stories online or on audiobooks

P.S.  If you have any trouble with AR or Capstone, or anything else reading related, or just want to talk books, feel free to contact me at leggeca@nv.ccsd.net.

Antonello curbside library book chekout!

1.  Ask your parents or guardians for two things:
  • Permission to check out books from our school library.
  • A way to get to school to pick up your books during school hours between 7:30-2:30.
2.  Put books on hold:
  • Go to Clever.ccsd.net, sign in, click on Destiny Discover.
  • Choose your State, NV.
  • Choose your school by typing Antonello in the search box, click on our school.
  • Log in with your student number as your username and your first name as your password.
    • Example:  My student number is 123456 and my first name is christopher
    • Username: 123456      password: christopher
In Destiny Discover, find the book or books you want to read.  Click "hold" for that book. You may hold three books at a time. If the book is in, you will get it very soon.  If it says out, you will have to wait until other students return it.
3.  We get the books for you and check them out to you.  We call or email you or your parents to let you know they are ready. Do not try to pick up your books until you hear from us.  You will have 3 school days to pick up your books after we contact you.  If you don't pick them up, we check them in and put them away or check them out to other students.
4.  You pick up the books in the school parking lot between 7:30-9:00.  If you can't come during that time, come before 2:30 PM.  When you arrive, call the school at 702 799 8380, extension 4026 and let us know you are here.
5.  Your books will be given to you in a cool bag while supplies last.
6.  Returning books:  When you are finished with your books, put more books on hold.  When we call you and tell you your new books are ready, simply bring your old books back in the bag and trade them for your new ones when you come to pick them up.  If you want to bring them back early, put them in the Book Return 5000.

***Virus concerns:  We are following the CCSD/CDC recommendations for library books.  We will wear masks and gloves to deliver the books.  Returned books and bags will quarantine for 4 days to let the germs die.  After 4 days, we sanitize the covers, check them in, and put them back into circulation.
